Grumpy Mood

I'm in a really grumpy mood and I don't know why. (╬ Ò ‸ Ó) Do you ever get like that? What do you do to fix your mood? I might journal, but trying to get my journal to look perfect often pisses me off! I watch so many AMAZING journalists and their bullet journals look so so so so amazing... Than I try and it's just like... Baaaad. ;.;

I also can't go get coffee 'cause someone is working on the stairs! I have one last Mountain Dew as well. *flail* I should drink sugar free Mountain Dew but I hate "fake" sugar, except Splenda and no soda has Splenda. >:( I'm pretty sure it's all Stevia. 

Well, on a good note, I did find the perfect tea for Koji. ^_^ It's a relaxation tea, which I've been wanting to find for him for a while. There's also lemongrass, which is a favorite tea ingredient of mine! Plus passion fruit, a favorite of his! I'm so so so so happy and the tea arrived early this morning! o((*^▽^*))o 

I love buying him and Astrid little gifts. I know that I don't need to, but a love language of mine is giving. I really enjoy finding the perfect gifts, especially when they're small but meaningful. Koji's into comfy cozy stuff and I bought him the PERFECT wool socks and he's been wearing and loving them, so I am a happy wife! They're in that, um... "Nordic" print? Is that the word? I don't know, but they look handsome and cozy too. o((*^▽^*))o

I'm already feeling better by just writing this little post. I think getting my grumpiness out helped, mhm!

PT Tomorrow

I just finished taking my shower, as I can't take one in the morning because of work. I work up until I have to go in for my first physical therapy appointment. o(･´д･｀o)))三(((o´･д｀･)o

I hope it's not going to be painful or invasive. Is that the right word? It's when you have to be touched and moved around. (>.<)

Oh, but speaking of my shower, I went with a whole rose theme this month. Rose Hips shampoo and conditioner and Rose and Pink Sugar shower gel! I smell really good! (^_^)

I made a new gal friend from the gal Discord, her name is Lexi and she's making a blog! I'll be sure to share her link once she's done! (ノ^∇^)

I'm almost finished with my last shift for the day. I spent today with Astrid, Koji and our babies of course! plus making phone calls (ew), playing Conan, working a few shifts and talking to Lexi. I've also been reading Discord a lot. I'm so thankful for Discord, it's such a great communication tool, especially if you're a big community person!

Autumn Gal Inspo

My Poor Back and Distracting Myself With Pretty Nails

I got a message from my Doctor today and am sad. I had an x-ray done of my back because I've been in HORRIBLE pain whenever I stand for even like 5 min without walking and when walking, only a little longer. I have degenerative disease. (´;︵;`) My spine tissue is basically like... wearing down? and it's getting worse. I have physical therapy scheduled for the 28th and am nervous. I hate being gone for a long time (okay so it's only 30-60 min but still) and I have a feeling I'll be in a lot of pain while going through PT. My Doctor said if that doesn't work, to talk to him. I looked up other treatments and they consist of pain medication and even surgery. ((*｀ﾟдﾟ)ゞ

I want to talk about something fun and get my mind off of this, so let's talk about nails! Nails are a huge part of gyaru. Whether you have them on the short side or much much longer, nails are to be bold and fabulous! Here're some of my favorites that I've come across on the web!

Starting with some Halloween inspo, we have Lizzie's nails! Bonus points for witchy Pusheen! I love Pusheen, she is so much like our little Mimi! 

We also have THESE Halloween nails from Aya1gou. They're so long! My nails are in bad condition and I need to fix 'em before I can wear nails again. I miss them so much! Hopefully I can do so before Halloween!

These Hime Gyaru Nails are so pretty and sweet! Roses are my favorite flower, so I adore all of the little rose details!

Sailor Moooon nails! Sailor Moon is in my top five favorite manga and anime, so of course I had to include these!

These nails actually make me think of something Georgie would wear! They're so Summery!

Georgie posted these PINK! LEOPARD! (even better than pink zebra!) nails and I love them!

Okay, now here is a REALLY fierce af nail design! These rokku nails make me drool. I want them when I do rokku fits so badly.

Last but certainly not least... A nickname of mine from Koji is Cow. Now, I know that sounds bad but I promise I LOVE IT and it's very special to me. (*≧▽≦)ﾉｼ)) I like everything with cow print and or milk aesthetic, especially strawberry milk, and even our sister drew me as a cow girl! So, when I saw THESE, I loved them instantly! I WILL help bring cow print into gyaru. (*•̀ᴗ•́*)و ̑̑

As usual, this wasn't a one style type post. I just love SO many! I hope you enjoyed and I'm feeling better now. ^_^ I have lots of support from Koji and Astrid and Koji made me laugh a lot tonight. (♥ω♥*)

Aochan and a Gal Redesign

Hiiii! I gave my blog a gal redesign. o(〃＾▽＾〃)o I wanted something with a wild print, because I love them in gyaru and so I asked Astrid and Koji which wild animal I reminded them of. Koji wasn't sure and Astrid said a Wildebeest...

While I love ALL animals, I wanted something more... bold. That's when I thought of SNOW LEOPARD and when I Googled that for backgrounds, I came across PINK snow leopard print. Perfect! (ﾉ^ヮ^)ﾉ*:・ﾟ✧

I WANTED to add a pink snow leopard background to my blog, but Blogger had an update that trashed that idea. So I made a header instead!

Outside of that and my picture (and updating my age and that I'm blogging about gal), I didn't change anything. This blog will forever be my little spot to talk about everything, but I really really want to focus a lot on gyaru because it's very special to me. 

Speaking of gyaru, I was watching a Black Diamond music video and came across a gal who I HAD to know more about, so I asked in the gal Discord and was told she was Aochan. I love her style! Especially her tan, which to me is the perfect tan strength for me and her hair, which is either very very light blonde or white. I love the color and style. My body goals are Hitomi Tanaka and my skin and hair goals are Aochan.

This is Hitomi... I have big boobs and they're like my signature body part. I love them so much, even though I used to be EXTREMELY insecure and hated them. I went through the stage of being a pre-teen / early teen and wanting them to grow... Then I thought they grew too much and I became embarrassed and than as an adult, Astrid and Koji helped me appreciate them and see them as beautiful and sexy parts of me. More than you needed to know about my boobs, but moving on... All boobs are beautiful! 

So I appreciate her body shape a lot and she has my ideal tummy. I need to exercise more! I'd love to exercise in the gym, but I just don't feel comfortable with that, so I need to start at home and just be dedicated.

Gyaru 109 Meme

Ahhhh, I'm so excited for this! The lovely Reila of The Name I Love posted this gyaru blog meme challenge and I've wanted to talk lots and lots more about gyaru here, so this is a perfect way to introduce myself officially as a gal! My blog isn't just about gyaru, because I also talk about gaming and anime and holiday stuff - but gyaru will be a HUGE focus. So I hope other gals will follow me and enjoy! If you're new to gal, let me know and I can recommend some blog posts that have helped me!

Name / Gyaru nickname and country: Angie... I don't have a gyaru nickname, but I hope that I will eventually! I'm from the U.S. originally and will be moving to Brazil in the future. Brazil gals, talk to me! 

Since when are you gyaru? I started last year (in 2020)! I'm still so new! My first attempt at wearing a gyaru outfit wasn't great, because neither my outfit nor my make seemed very gal. >o< Right now, money is tight, so I haven't had the chance to go shopping for new clothes and make. But soon!

How did you discover the style? So, there were one of those "share your last post" tweets on Twitter and Lizzie (who is FABULOUS) shared an outfit post and I LOVED how pretty and cute the outfit was, so I headed over to her blog and that's how I found gyaru! Lizzie's blog opened up so many doors for me and I'm so grateful for all of her posts. 

What's your current substyle? Why do you like it? Current would be amekaji and agejo... I know. They don't go together and I don't wear them together! Don't worry! When I was younger, I used to try SO hard to fit into one fashion. But that's never been me. I've also never lived one kind of lifestyle (which gyaru is for me.) I am a very complex person. 😋 Amekaji was one I didn't think I'd like, just because I really want to have a more feminine and dainty style... But the fact is, I am loud, bold and colorful. See this post for THE shirt. 

Which are your current booms? Beanies for amekaji! It's a way to get started that doesn't cost a lot and I really need them as it's finally getting colder. I found the PERFECT one from Hot Topic of all places! I've wanted something with the Nissin logo for a while because I love their ramen, haha. But yes, it's bright, it's in bold colors and I love the pom! >o< I'm also EXTREMELY into overalls right now. Especially if they're pink! Co&Lu has some beautiful overalls... Ahhhh, I can't wait to go shopping.

Georgie's dress is so perfect and I love her heels and bag! She's a HUGE inspiration to me. I love her amekaji fits too.

Emi is my gal idol. I would love love love love to model myself after her. Not only are her fashion choices perfect, her personality is too! Emi recently left gal and while I'll miss her fits, I absolutely will follow her new fashion and lifestyle adventures!

Lizzie is the Queen who got me into gyaru! Her fits are all so beautiful and I love everything from her agejo fits to her himekaji ones!

Share 3 things your learn during your Gyaru journey. I don't know much yet, but I do know that make is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!!! Especially how you do your eye make. It's the thing I struggle with the most, especially the droop and the white under the eye... I keep making everything look so weird and I put my lashes on backgrounds and just ffff. 

You can be any size and shape to do gyaru and their are non-binary and male gyaruo as well! No one is left out! 

You don't need brand to look gyaru and to look good. While it's amazing and trust me, there are brand pieces that I want so badly!!!! You can still be gyaru without. So if you're like me and tight with money, don't fret. Let's do this!

What's your favorite Gyaru memory? Outside of finding gyaru, finding out that my husband has a LOT of gyaru knowledge! Plus! Finding the gal Discord and also meeting an amazing gal from where I live! Finally!

What advice would you give to people who want to start in the style but don’t have the courage yet? Okay, so I can't give advice on fits, make or hair... But I can give advice on DOING STUFF! Do what your heart wants. Gyaru is a fashion and lifestyle that won't just call to you but will scream to you, so don't ignore that voice! Yes, for some, it's a wild fashion. But that's part of the fun! You may be worried what people will think, but do you really care? Sadly, people will judge others no matter. So be what will make you happy! Plus, I think it's a very gal thing to not give a fuck to what people think. (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧

Astrid's Birthday Interview!

 

Our gorgeous wife Astrid celebrated her birthday on September 10th! To celebrate, I interviewed her for my blog~ Enjoy!

1. What is your favorite sweet treat? I don't have one. I don't honestly like sweets that much, it's once in a blue moon. But I guess... Snickers.

2. What is your favorite animal? Fox, duh! (Angie's note: I knew she'd say this! She is a HUGE fan of foxes, from our super soft giant Miso fox to Save a Fox Rescue to her fox mug and more!)

3. Tell us a special memory of yours: Meeting Angie. Waiting for her at the airport, on the phone with her, and then I saw her come down the escalator. (Angie's note: Astrid and I met in 2003 and dated long distance until I came to Utah in 2007!)

4. What's a bit of advice that you think everyone could use: Just relax, try to be happy. The day will be fine. You'll be fine! Chill out and be calm, relaxed, and if you can-Happy! (Angie's note: Astrid is a comfy, happy place. I love how warm and comforting she is. *snuggle's her*)
